mental health researchThe project explores how DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) is built into elementary school programs around the world.
The goal is to learn what works and whatโs hard, then use those insights to shape the Belonging Games toolkit.
Students will research how schools foster a sense of belonging, compare different approaches across cultural, social, and educational contexts, and map the pros and cons. Theyโll use their research and classroom skills on a real challenge and share clear, useful recommendations. Their work will directly support Mental Health Activityโs ongoing efforts.
Students will produce a clear research article on DEIB in elementary schools. It will review current practices, highlight what works, and note what needs improvement.
Students will also share recommendations to strengthen DEIB, to support the development of the Belonging Games toolkit.
All deliverables will be well organized, easy to read, and useful for educators and other stakeholders interested in DEIB.
