Project Overview:

Profit & Lattes Inc. is an established brand that provides financial management and consulting services to small businesses. As the company evolves, we are shifting our focus to women in mid-life navigating all stages of menopause while running a business.


This transition requires a strong SEO and social media strategy to ensure that our brand messaging, content, and digital presence effectively reach and support this unique audience. The goal of this project is to refine our search engine optimization (SEO), develop a data-driven content calendar, and create engaging social media content that aligns with the needs, challenges, and aspirations of menopausal entrepreneurs.


Through this project, students will help us reposition Profit & Lattes as the go-to resource for business owners in peri-menopause, menopause, and post-menopause, helping them manage their finances, mindset, and overall well-being while growing their businesses.


Project Objectives:

  1. SEO Optimization – Improve search rankings and increase organic traffic through strategic keyword usage.
  2. Social Media Strategy – Develop a data-driven posting schedule across the most effective social platforms for our niche.
  3. Brand-Aligned Content Creation – Create engaging, SEO-optimized content, including reels and posts tailored to our audience.


Bonus Opportunities:

  1. Advanced Analytics Integration – Use social media insights to further refine and personalize content strategy.
  2. A/B Testing Recommendations – Suggest testing variations of posts to measure engagement effectiveness.
  3. Hashtag & Trend Research – Identify effective hashtags and trends to boost reach.
Deliverables

Student Tasks & Activities:


SEO Research & Implementation:

  • Conduct keyword research to determine the most relevant and high-impact search terms.
  • Analyze on-page and off-page SEO best practices to improve Google rankings.
  • Recommend blog content ideas based on high-traffic keywords.
  • Social Media Platform Strategy:
  • Research and recommend the best social media platforms for our niche, considering audience engagement and algorithm trends.
  • Our primary platforms currently include Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook, but we are open to recommendations for expansion (e.g., YouTube Shorts, Threads, Pinterest, TikTok).

Content Calendar & Posting Strategy:

  • Develop a data-driven content calendar that outlines optimal posting times, content formats, and engagement strategies.
  • Ensure that all recommendations align with our brand guidelines and reflect the voice and tone of Profit & Lattes.
  • Provide guidance on cross-posting content effectively across different platforms.
  • Social Media Content Creation & Reels:
  • Develop sample social media posts that align with our branding, messaging, and audience needs.
  • Create 3-5 reel ideas, ensuring alignment with our brand’s voice and menopause-related business challenges.

Branding Alignment:

  • Ensure all content aligns with Profit & Lattes’ established branding guidelines (tone, color scheme, fonts, and messaging).
  • Review and refine hashtags, keywords, and engagement techniques to match our brand positioning.

Performance Analysis & Recommendations:

  • Review existing social media insights to identify high-performing content.
  • Use data analytics to refine the content strategy for maximum engagement.
  • Provide final recommendations on social media trends, SEO updates, and ongoing growth strategies.

  1. Keyword Research & SEO Plan – A structured report detailing high-impact search terms and SEO recommendations.
  2. Social Media Platform Strategy Report – Recommendations for the best platforms, content formats, and engagement tactics.
  3. Optimized Social Media Content Calendar – A posting schedule with suggested themes, keywords, and engagement strategies.
  4. Sample Social Media Posts & Reels – 5+ example posts and 3-5 reel scripts/ideas aligned with our branding.
  5. Final Summary Strategy Report & Presentation – A summary of insights, content recommendations, and actionable next steps.
