Details

Have you ever been bored sitting on the couch. Scroll for something to do. Everything is either too far away or isn’t of interest to you. Or maybe you don’t feel like introducing yourself today. It doesn’t need to be that way.

Meet the Odyssey is an app where the Amazing Race with a bit of Tinder and a hint of Pokemon Go.. changes how we connect. And redefines how we travel.

I’m Christina. I have over a decade AI; our team is AI driven but customer focused. Our head of ops is a Vet that keeps the team on track and in line. And we'll be on-boarding a Gaming vet with 20+ years at Unity and Electronic Arts soon to head up game development.

Our company has a prototype for our mobile app. We're looking for students who want to help us explore manage our cloud engineering and devops needs.

Best for someone looking to get either AWS or Azure certified. We have general cloud architecture knowledge for scalable data systems but lack the skills for implementing.

Students could work on:

  1. Current Infrastructure Needs Assessment.
  2. Set up and provisioning to ensure we don't over over cloud allotments.
  3. Terraform, Github CI/CD set up and monitoring.
  4. In-app customer support infrastructure set up and monitoring.
  5. Set up custom database systems using opensource tools
  6. Setup infrastructure monitoring
  7. Setting up cloud and app security.

Deliverables

By the end of the project, students will have demonstrated:

  • How to conduct a thorough analysis of our current IT support workflows.
  • Identify gaps, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies in the existing support processes, highlighting areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Propose recommendations for enhancing IT support services, such as implementing self-service portals, automation tools, knowledge base enhancements
  • Execute the implementation plan, deploying new tools, processes, and procedures to enhance IT support efficiency, responsiveness, and user satisfaction.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of the implemented improvements on IT support service quality, productivity, and user experience
  • Assessing the potential financial effects of technological decisions

Final Deliverables:

  • Implemented IT system
  • Technical Documentation ( 3-5 pages including diagrams)
